This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all customers and users of MyNeighborhoodWiFi services, including internet access, Wi‑Fi, and related products.

It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and may be updated periodically as our services and legal requirements evolve.

General responsibilities

  • You are responsible for how the service is used at your location, including by guests, employees, and anyone using your network.
  • You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry rules when using the service.
  • You must protect your network, devices, and passwords against unauthorized access or misuse.

Prohibited activities

You may not use the service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose or in any way that interferes with the network or other users.

  • Hosting, transmitting, or accessing illegal content, including content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property.
  • Engaging in hacking, intrusion, denial‑of‑service attacks, or attempts to bypass security or authentication systems.
  • Running services or traffic that intentionally degrades network performance or disrupts other users’ connections.

Network integrity & security

  • You may not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without explicit authorization.
  • You may not introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into our network or other users’ systems.
  • We may use reasonable security and traffic‑management tools to protect the network and our customers.

Email, messaging & spam

  • You may not use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or chain letters.
  • You may not forge headers, spoof addresses, or misrepresent identity in email or other communications.
  • You must comply with anti‑spam and marketing laws, including honoring unsubscribe and opt‑out requests.

Intellectual property & content

  • You may not use the service to share or download content in violation of copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
  • If notified of an alleged infringement, we may remove or restrict access as required by law or policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate service for repeat infringement or serious violations.

Customer equipment & Wi‑Fi

  • You are responsible for securing your Wi‑Fi network, routers, and connected devices.
  • You should use strong passwords and encryption and update device firmware regularly.
  • We are not responsible for security issues caused by customer‑owned equipment or poor configuration.

Enforcement & reporting

Violations of this policy may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, suspension, or termination of service, depending on severity.

We may cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities when required or permitted by law.
